Nexen Tire Unveils Sustainable Demonstration Tire

Nexen Tire, a global tire manufacturer, has unveiled a sustainable demonstration tire that features up to 52% sustainable materials. The tire is made with a variety of renewable and recycled materials, including natural rubber, bio-based synthetic rubber, silica derived from rice husk waste residue, and polyester cord formed from recycled plastic PET bottles. The bead wire is recycled from scrap iron using an electric arc furnace.
The development of the sustainable demonstration tire is part of Nexen Tire's commitment to sustainability. The company has set a goal of reducing its environmental impact by 30% by 2030. The sustainable demonstration tire is a step towards achieving this goal.
"We are committed to developing sustainable products that meet the needs of our customers and protect the environment," said a Nexen Tire spokesperson. "The sustainable demonstration tire is a significant milestone in our journey towards a more sustainable future."
The sustainable demonstration tire is currently being tested in various conditions. Nexen Tire plans to commercialize the tire in the near future.
