PA Consulting and Pulpac to Develop Fiber-Based Bottles
PA Consulting and PulPac have launched The Bottle Collective, which aims to reduce single-use plastic bottles in various sectors by industrializing a high-speed, low-cost process for creating fibre-based bottles. This process utilizes Dry Molded Fiber technology, which uses renewable pulp and cellulose resources to produce packaging that is both cost-effective and high performing.
The manufacturing process emits less CO2 than traditional plastic and wet moulding methods. Additionally, it uses minimal water to create a versatile container mould suitable for a wide range of consumer products, including water, dairy, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and personal care items such as detergent, skincare, and hair care products.
By 2025, multiple leading brand partners are expected to join the Bottle Collective to continue developing and scaling this innovative packaging solution.
